Whether you are a wine enthusiast tasting for pleasure or a drinks professional tasting for work, this application assists in creating and storing structured and consistent wine tasting notes.

Developed by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), the largest wine education provider globally, the app is built on the internationally recognized Systematic Approach to Tasting® (SAT) at Level 2.

Please note that this app is not a component of the WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines course. Nonetheless, it serves as a beneficial tool for current and past WSET students at all proficiency levels.

Never enrolled in a WSET course? Not an issue! This app is a valuable resource for all wine tasters, complete with helpful guidance on note-taking techniques. It also offers a preview of the skills one can acquire through WSET courses.

What is the Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine?
The Systematic Approach to Tasting® (SAT) is a structured note-taking methodology devised by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust to render tasting notes more objective and comparable.

This systematic method dissects the evaluation of wine, spirits, or sake into appearance, nose, palate, and conclusion, supported by universal terminology.

Published across four progressive complexity levels as part of the four available WSET qualifications, this app is tailored for wines at level two. It suits individuals new to the SAT system as well as those who have completed WSET programs.

A systematic tasting approach provides wine tasters with a fundamental framework on which they can enhance their skills. The SAT is an essential component of all WSET courses.
